A bridge is sometimes called a point-to-point extender as it wirelessly connects 2 locations together. Think of it like an invisible cable over which you can send data.
The Clear Flow BEAM products are designed for this exact purpose and can extend data up to a distance of 10km.
The set up is a 2 stage process:
- Establish the BEAM transmitter which will be hard-wired to the host network.
- Wirelessly connect the BEAM receiver (Station) to the transmitter to establish the bridge.
Each BEAM products can be configured in either mode and it is possible to connect up to 5 stations to a single transmitter.
These devices are popular for CCTV applications on multi-building sites where running cables is not possible.
