This issue can be down to a number of reasons so have a look over the checklist below which will guide you to locating the problem.
- Is the IR TX sensor still in the correct position on the source device?
- Is it still connected properly? check the connection of the IR sensor is pushed all the way in.
- Does the remote control work when pointed directly at the source? If yes then the remote is not the problem. If no then maybe it needs batteries or replacing with a new remote control.
After you have ruled out the above it is time to explore the system in more detail:
- Is this modulator connected to a distribution amplifier? If yes then it needs to be a DC pass (by-pass) amplifier such as Antiference RemoteLink or 75 Series amps; so check the specification. Maybe this is a new amp or a replacement and is not compatible with the modulator IR system.

- Is control not working in all rooms or just 1 room? If the issue is limited to a single room then maybe the magic eye in that room is the problem. Check the LED is lit on the magic eye(s) and consider swapping them around to see if the problems moves to another room.

- Is the control issue intermittent? This problem is most likely to be position of a sensor. Sources of light can ‘blind’ IR sensors so check the position of all the sensors.
